Maps are available all over the MTNOPS site and allow the user to harness the most powerful open source mapping technology available. Add GPS integration
and photo sync in the mix and you have an unstoppable set of tools and maps to help you plan your next adventure or see where you've already been. Our
numerous data overlays offer you information that is not available anywhere else on the web. Whether you are a snowboarder, snowmobiler, hunter, fly fishermen
or a general outdoorsmen - information is power and now you have it at your finger tips. Please let us know if you have any questions, comments or would like
some of these mapping services on your own site. Some of these data layers are only available if you are registered user of the MTNOPS site, click here to

Riding Journal and GPS Integration
The map above shows GPS and photo sync integrated with a user Riding Journal. The track data is simply uploaded to the MTNOPS site just like a standard jpg
or graphic file, only the file contains GPX data. You can easily export your GPS tracks into GPX format using the software that came with your GPS device.
Included above are three images attached to the Riding Journal entry, these images are automatically associated along the GPS timeline and displayed as markers on
the map with an information pop up window. Meaning, MTNOPS can add location information to your photos so you can see exactly where they were taken.
NOTE: This feature requires a GPS Device and Digital Camera with the correct date and time settings.

Here is another GPS Riding Journal showing four runs at Loveland Resort with a USGS Topographical overlay.
Land Ownership Data Layers

Along with the GPS integration, our data layers are a very powerful feature. Our "Lands" data layer shows you land ownership and color codes certain regions based
on ownership status. Some of the data layers include, BLM, NPS, USFS W, USFS, State, Private, NPS, DOD and Local Government. This data is very useful when
planning routes in the backcountry or exploring new zones. Every time I head out into the backcountry I take my GPS and log my route, using the GPX import feature
above you can easily plot your route and see if you are near Private land or go to good in USFS territory.
Hunting Data Layers

Our "Hunting" data layers work that same way as the land ownership. The data displayed above is the Colorado Game Unit Management zones and Administration Codes
for the elk and deer season. The zones are shaded according to the size and total land mass, the number displayed are the GMU codes for that area. This data is not
available anywhere else on the web and allows a new level of interactivity and information awareness.
Nexrad and Weather Data Layers

This data layer allows the user to overlay NEXRAD composite radar over top of their map information.
Water and Infrastructure Data Layers

This data layer provides the viewer with additional information about US infrastructure and Water Systems, combined with stream flow guages and other real time data
points is an invaluable tool for the fly fishermen or outdoorsmen.
Please contact us if you are interested in integrating this technology into your site or project.
